Those of you who have been in our previous fed know that we're very unbiased when it comes to judging roleplays and deciding winners each week for our shows. We always had a few people help us look over the roleplays to make sure every match was fair, because as most know, no one person can decide a winner of a contest.Different people look for different things when they read roleplays. Different people enjoy different types of roleplays. So here's where I'm going with it.
My idea is to implement a poll where all of the members have the chance to vote for who THEY think should win the matches depending on roleplays. Obviously we already know a few flaws about it. People could easily be voting for themselves. Not everyone would want to or have the chance to vote. Which are probably two of the biggest concerns but I think that if we were able to work out all the kinks then it could be a program that would work very efficiently and definitely help us managers when it comes time to decide victories.
All I want is everyone's opinion on the idea. Do you like it? Do you dislike it? Give me some pros and cons. We want to make this fed as accessible to the members as we can and we feel this would be a great way to do so by giving the members the ability to vote for who they think should be winning. So again, just give us some ideas of what you think about this suggestion and whether you would want it implemented or not.

I think this could be a good idea. At least it could be fun to try. If there is a poll I don't think it should be up all week because if it's available all week and person A rps on Monday but person B doesn't until Thursday, person A may be getting an unfair advantage on rps. Also I think it should be 1 vote per person. If you let people vote more than once you might have some flooding going on where person A votes for themselves or their friends 20 times and therefore person B loses the voting.
I think another thing that would be good would be to have the results of the poll viewable only by management. Or set up somehow so that if I am voting and I think person B's rp is better, but person A is winning by a lot in the poll I won't feel awkward or pressured to change my vote.
Those are my two cents, take them for what it's worth.

Being one of those who once helped you guys out with results and judgement calls in CWF, I think the idea is good as long as you do get rid of the kinks. I do believe it should be one vote per person, but problem is in the timing. You should be able to swing your vote up until deadline. Also, I'd prefer to see it where you cannot vote for your match (although we'd need more members for that to be completely reasonable) it would eliminate the whole voting for themselves factor.

I think it's an alright idea. So long as everything that has said above me happens and there's no real bullshit over it.. And so long as votes don't completely sway decision. I say this, because it seems like it's impossible to really make it so that some people don't favor others.

If you want to imply a voting system, you could simply have each member submit a PM to someone judging. that way you could imply a single vote from each member. although you may get floaded in the future.
